For individuals living on the west coast or are willing to drive their car to the west coast, shipping a car is actually very easy. All you have to do is to drive your car to one of the ports and the companies take it from there. Two of the major companies that move cars to Hawaii are:

If you did not live on the west coast or if driving across country is not part of your plan, you will need to find a company that will coordinate getting your car to the most appropriate port and delivering it to the shipping company.
